I am a journalism student at Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications with a women’s and gender studies minor and a love for writing, online and radio storytelling.
I’m a Life and Culture writer at The Ithacan newspaper as well as a DJ and former talent coordinator at VIC Radio and news reporter on 91.7FM WICB. I also do work at the Ithaca Voice and The Indie Sound.
I was on the founding editorial team of Ace Empire Magazine, a publication that worked to be part of a worldwide media startup aimed toward highlighting the accomplishments of entrepreneurial, professional women. Its launch was put on hold, but through this experience, I had the opportunity to speak with a number of inspiring and artistic women.
My favorite beats include local music, art and culture, and much of my work aims to showcase lesser-known but extremely gifted independent musicians, artists and activists. Growing up in the suburbs of New Jersey and attending school in the small city of Ithaca has made me constantly aware of and fascinated by the types of spaces and movements grassroots organizations and small groups of people can create.
