I am a journalism student at Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications with a women’s and gender studies minor and a love for writing, online and radio storytelling.
I’m Life and Culture editor at The Ithacan newspaper as well as a DJ and former talent coordinator at VIC Radio and news reporter on 91.7FM WICB. I also board operate and newscast for the local Cayuga Radio Group.
I was an intern for FAIR.org, a progressive, independent media watchgroup for which I got to cover various topics from censorship to mental health. I have a passion for independent advocacy journalism, corporate media criticism and fearless truth-telling.
My favorite beats include grassroots activism and human rights as well as local music, art and culture. Much of my work aims to showcase lesser-known but extremely gifted independent musicians, artists and activists. Growing up in the suburbs of New Jersey and attending school in the small city of Ithaca has made me constantly aware of and fascinated by the types of spaces and movements grassroots organizations and small groups of people can create.
